Hypermap
This "hypermap" was created by the Spring '05 "Writing in the
New Media" class, and to our surprise, it came together quite well. The
class was broken into separate committees with our faithful
Internet
wizard/teacher, Brendan Riley guiding the whole operation with an
iron
fist of resourcefulness. The goal of this site is to help current
and
future CCC students manage their experience downtown , around
campus,
and beyond. We hope we achieved just that, and that you can rely
on
this site as a resource for your college experience.

I'm 21 and a Junior at Columbia but this is my first semester
here. I contributed to this project by working on the shopping
committee and taking some of the photos on this site.
Roudy Fervil
I am responsible for the
logo designs for shopping, nightlife, and restaurants.
Jamie M. Fox
Jamie
Fox built the page with witty info about the Columbia College
buildings. Jamie is on Student Government and knows too much about
Columbia.
What was my modest
contribution of this Site?
Hmm…

Personal quote:
i am a woman of few
words...but many quotes..
"We've
heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the
complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know
that is not true."
Robert Wilensky
"Every child is an
artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up."
Vanessa Kiki Interrante
I
go to school here and live here and always look both ways before
crossing. I helped create the nightlife page so ya'll could have
something to do after the sun goes down, and I also took some pictures
for the site to make it look real purdy. yeehaw.

what

Starting as the
person who posted on our web-blog all this strange websites...
I
thought it might be my role to propose this strange metaphore of the
train which I think is appropriate for the hypermap, and thankfully the
design group accepted it.
I did the
Photomontage of the first page and contributed some content to the
restaurant site.
Meghan M. Osborne
I
worked on the mechanics of two web pages and had no idea what I was
doing. I was also a member of the proofing commity. So in all, if you
find any typos, it's all my fault! Blame Me!
Ryan J. Urban
I
was a part of the shopping page creation. I also created the maps for
the entire site which you'll find on the shopping and building pages. I
formatted the pictures taken by the photo team as well.
Samuel Wey
I contributed photographs
of various Columbia College buildings, some technical assistance, a bit
of other stuff.
Tamara L. Wilm
I
worked mainly on the photography and nightlife sections of the
hypermap. Although I didn't have any clue about website design at the
beginning of this class I'm still not sure I do. Thank god for my
classmates.
