This area is great for hanging out, going to concerts, or grabbing a bite to eat at some place like Clarke's that is open 24 hours.  By taking the red line north and getting off at the Belmont stop you'll be steps away from everything.  It offers a plethera of thrift stores, diverse restaurants, bars and clubs, and concert venues.  For those of you sports fans, this area is also home to Wrigley Field.  Some particular venues to check out include:

Metro  Probably the most popular venue for shows in Chicago, the Metro not only has concerts nearly every night of the week but also hosts other fun events such as dance parties and book readings.

The Vic  Not only do they have concerts but movies too!  The Vic is a fun place to hang out after your homework's done or on the weekend.


Bottom Lounge  Another concert venue right by the "L" stop.  Check out their site for shows and times.
