Harold Washington Library is a great resource, however keep in mind you will need two pieces of mail to open a library card with the city of Chicago. The Harold Washington Library also offers museum passports. The passports allow you to visit many of the museums around the city for free. Up to eight guests can be accommodated on a single passport.
